BETTY WAS A CLASSIC EXAMPLE OF AN INSPIRATI0NAL HEBREWS 11:36-40 CHRISTIAN
WHO KEPT HER FAITH DURING MANY YEARS OF EXCRUCIATING PAIN. A LADY WHO LIKE MOST OF US WHO ASKED QUESTIONS DURING HER PAIN, BUT DURING ALL HER SUFFERING, KEPT HER FAITH AND WAS AN INSPIRATION TO ALL WHO CAME IN CONTACT WITH HER.
BETTY LIVED SO MANY GREAT EXAMPLES BUT ONE THAT SHOWED UP IN HER WRITING TIME AND TIME AGAIN WAS THAT IT IS OK TO QUESTION AND EVEN COMPLAIN TO GOD ABOUT OUR PROBLEMS AND THAT HE UNDERSTANDS AND LOVES US AS HIS BELOVED CHILDREN THROUGH ALL THE QUESTIONS THAT INEVITABLY COME FROM SUFFERING.
"For the sake of Christ you should not only believe in Him, but also suffer for His sake" Phil. 1:29 and John 16:33 says that we will have trouble in this world. As a person that suffers from chronic pain, physically or emotionally, passages like this can bring hope. God's sovereignty, not our amount of faith or good works, sets out the course of life and for many it will involve great suffering. We are told to fight the good fight of faith 1 Timothy 6:12 as we read about those "of whom the world was not worthy" in Hebrews 11:36-40. These showed to all, that their suffering in faith for Jesus was worth everything, even their own lives.
Will we walk by faith trusting God, no matter what trials he has planned for us today?
